Events / Customer Experience Specialist - NASCAR

About the role

ABB is hiring an Events / Customer Experience Specialist in Charlotte to act as the events partner for its NASCAR team. The role drives and implements marketing activities for NASCAR in line with the agreed strategy, coordinates customer events and VIP experiences, and serves as the main point of contact for employees and customers at NASCAR-related events. It reports to the Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Support national sales teams with customer engagement for NASCAR events and corporate events, and coordinate cross-functional activities using NASCAR assets
• Coordinate customer events, meetings and communications, and assist with CRM updates and post-event reporting
• Represent ABB at key NASCAR non-race events and meetings across the country
• Lead the planning and execution of three VIP NASCAR race weekends, customer hospitality events and executive experiences, and eight NASCAR Fuel for Hospitality race weekends
• Plan smaller NASCAR events, provide a monthly planner for sales teams, and run the mandatory on-site employee meeting during the three VIP activations
• Maintain inventories of promotional materials and event assets, and support branding initiatives such as signage, displays, apparel and customer engagement assets
• Provide post-race reports to the NASCAR team with improvements and lessons learned, and coordinate event budgets and project timelines
• Work with business lines and segment leaders to share marketing information and drive sales efficiency on events, product and technical knowledge

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a similar field
• 4+ years of work-related experience, preferably in NASCAR or another professional sports industry
• Experience in professional events and customer engagement
• Ability to travel 25-50% of the time to ABB, customer and tradeshow events
• Work authorization allowing work for ABB in the United States
