Evening Shift Clinical Pharmacist (PRN) – Tyler, TX

About the role

Join our team as an evening‑shift, PRN Clinical Pharmacist at UT Health Tyler in Tyler, Texas. You will work in a Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke center, providing safe and cost‑effective pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize patient care by delivering appropriate, safe, and cost‑effective pharmaceutical services.
• Dispense medications and manage the IV admixture program.
• Provide drug information to healthcare professionals.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, pharmacy students, and support staff.
• Collaborate under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Operations Manager.

Required profile

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE‑accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Completion of an accredited PGY‑1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship, or 2 + years of clinical pharmacy experience.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Compliance with state requirements such as sterile compounding.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification for Code Blue response.
