Escrow Officer (Builder Escrow)

About the role

The Escrow Officer processes responsibilities and prepares all closing documents, making sure loan and contract paperwork is signed correctly and notarized. The officer communicates with clients to give updates and answer questions. This is a Builder Escrow Officer position with no book of business required.

Key responsibilities

• Order title searches, title updates, HOA estoppels, municipal lien searches, CDD payoffs, contractor's affidavits, certificates of occupancy, final termite guarantees and final surveys with certifications.
• Prepare closing documents for lenders and the title company.
• Calculate and collect fees, taxes and other payments from buyers.
• Ensure loan and contract paperwork is signed correctly and notarized, and review Lender's Instructions and comply with them.
• Send the Closing Disclosure to the lender for approval.
• Prepare and deliver the Combined ALTA settlement statement to the seller, then distribute the final approved ALTA to the selling agent and coordinate revisions or approvals.
• Finalize lender and buyer title documents and upload completed packages to the mobile notary portal for remote closings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of escrow experience.
• Experience closing files in both Texas and Florida preferred.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• SoftPro experience preferred.
