Equipment Operator with CDL

About the role

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking qualified Equipment Operators with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to join a nationwide team. This is a full‑time, 100% travel position where you will operate and maintain specialized industrial equipment across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to assigned locations using company vehicles and perform equipment operation and maintenance.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of vehicles, tools, and equipment, reporting any deficiencies.
• Comply with all DOT regulations, maintain accurate records, and ensure safe work practices.
• Set up, hook up, and break down equipment using proper tools and procedures.
• Perform hazard recognition and removal to maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate job status to division management and customers before, during, and after each assignment.
• Assist in project planning, on‑site inspections, and preparation of procedures and specifications.
• Clean and secure work areas and equipment after each job.

Required profile

• Valid CDL and clean driving record.
• Ability to follow DOT regulations and complete required documentation.
• Commitment to health and safety as the top priority.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on varied industrial sites.
• Strong attention to detail for equipment inspections and hazard mitigation.
