Environmental Services Supervisor II

About the role

The Environmental Services Supervisor II leads the technical and administrative functions of the Environmental Services department at Indian River Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic facility on Florida’s Treasure Coast. The position works night shifts, providing a safe, clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of caregivers, ensuring high‑quality cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintain staffing levels, approve time‑off requests, and coordinate cross‑coverage.
• Inspect assigned areas continuously to verify compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
• Provide orientation, education, and ongoing training for team members.
• Analyze workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience as a work leader, team lead, or project manager, OR one year of supervisory experience in a related field, OR a Bachelor’s degree.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, and lift moderate loads (20‑50 lb occasionally).
