Environmental Services Associate PRN (Night-Weekend)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a PRN Environmental Services Associate for its Wesley Chapel facility in Florida. The position works night-weekend shifts and covers cleaning of patient and public areas, infection control and waste handling.

Key responsibilities

• Clean assigned patient and public areas daily, collect and remove trash and sanitize all surfaces.
• Stock paper items, cleaning solutions and other supplies in assigned areas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures and proper operation of cleaning equipment.
• Use the Bed Management system with handheld technology to track bed throughput.
• Collect and stage soiled linen, dispose of normal and biohazardous waste, and clean and disinfect areas with bodily fluids per facility standards.
• Access ancillary units, restrooms and offices in assigned areas, document all work performed and follow oral and written assignments.

Required profile

• Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Able to communicate in English and interact with patients; excellent customer service.
• Basic computer skills, ability to use a mouse and keyboard and standard office software.
• Able to read Safety Data Sheets and product labels, understand reports, do basic arithmetic and follow instructions.
• Environmental services experience in a healthcare setting preferred; housekeeping or custodial experience preferred; high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
