Environmental Services Associate PRN (Night Shift)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a PRN Environmental Services Associate for its Wesley Chapel facility in Florida. The position works night shifts and covers cleaning, sanitation and infection control duties across patient rooms, public areas and operating rooms.

Key responsibilities

• Document all work performed and maintain knowledge of sanitizing and making beds, including cleaning operating rooms.
• Report hazardous situations and respond to hazards and emergencies.
• Keep the facility safe, clean and well maintained every day.
• Travel to assigned areas and respond to overhead pages or pager calls.
• Stock the cart daily with paper products and cleaning solutions.
• Clean patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices and ancillary rooms; sweep, dust mop, damp mop, dust, wash walls, scrub, make beds and vacuum.
• Collect and dispose of trash properly and stage soiled linen for pickup.
• Demonstrate knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Maintain age-specific precautions, keep cleaning carts unattended and lock environmental services closets.

Required profile

• Able to communicate in English (required).
• Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets, product labels and reports, and to do basic arithmetic (required).
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and full knowledge of basic environmental duties (required).
• 6 months of environmental services experience preferred.
• PRN schedule, night shift.
