Entry-Level Honing Technician

About the role

We are looking for an entry‑level Honing Technician to join our HydraForce manufacturing team in Lincolnshire. The role focuses on honing metal cages for hydraulic cartridge valves to precise tolerances, supporting our production of high‑performance hydraulic components.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate the honing machine in accordance with HydraForce standards.
• Read and interpret honing specifications from drawings, blueprints and air‑gauge measurements.
• Hone basic parts and valves, handling both oil‑ and coolant‑based processes.
• Monitor target area control tolerances and adjust settings as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse work environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Basic math skills and ability to use a calculator.
• Capability to stay on task for long periods and lift at least 25 lb.

Required skills

• Honing machine operation.
• Blueprint and drawing interpretation.
• Use of air‑gauge measurement tools.
