Entry-Level Business Development Representative - Language Services

About the role

Translation Excellence, a global provider of language services serving corporations, governments, non-profits, educational institutions and individuals, is looking for ambitious, proactive entry-level Business Development Representatives. You will expand the client base, generate leads and drive revenue growth by identifying and engaging potential clients, building relationships and nurturing them through the sales funnel.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads through market research, online research, networking events, trade shows and social media, and feed them into the sales pipeline.
• Reach out to prospects by cold calling and email, explain the value proposition and schedule appointments or demos for the sales team.
• Assess client needs, pain points and objectives, and qualify leads for customized solutions.
• Maintain regular contact with prospects and use a consultative approach to position the services as a solution.
• Work with the sales team to hand over qualified leads with complete documentation.
• Keep CRM records of lead activity and progress, track conversion rates and pipeline metrics, and support sales forecasting.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and sales techniques through training, webinars and conferences.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field preferred; experience in business development, lead generation or sales is preferred but not necessary.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, active listening and strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently and handle rejection.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Adaptability to learn new sales tools and platforms.
