Entry-Level Blade Repair Technician (Onshore Wind)

About the role

Flex Wind is seeking an entry‑level Blade Repair Technician to support on‑shore wind turbine blade maintenance across multiple U.S. project sites. The role involves inspecting, repairing, and documenting blade damage while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect turbine blades for erosion, cracks, coating failures, and delamination.
• Perform leading‑edge protection, trailing‑edge repairs, surface filling, finishing, and coating applications.
• Prepare composite surfaces by grinding, sanding, and finishing.
• Mix and apply epoxy systems according to approved procedures.
• Complete inspection reports, repair records, and project documentation.
• Work safely at height and in confined blade environments, following GWO and project‑specific safety protocols.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and fellow technicians to ensure efficient and safe repairs.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months hands‑on experience with composite repair, fiberglass work, painting, grinding, or related tasks.
• Basic knowledge of composite materials, epoxy systems, and surface preparation.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Physically fit, valid driver’s licence, and willingness to travel extensively across the United States.
• Proficient communication in English.
