English (US) to French (Canada) Translator – Life Sciences (Pharmacovigilance)

About the role

Welocalize is looking for experienced English (US) to French (Canada) translators to join its Life Sciences program focused on pharmacovigilance. You will work on critical medical and clinical documents, ensuring accurate and timely translations that support patient safety and global health initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Translate English (US) source material into French (Canada) with a focus on pharmacovigilance content.
• Perform translation, copy editing (CE), and machine translation post‑editing (MTPE) as required.
• Handle specialized medical documents such as Product Monographs, Clinical Study Documents, and Medical Information Letters.
• Meet tight deadlines, especially for projects received during EU close‑of‑business hours.
• Use client‑provided CAT tools (XTM and Phrase/Memsource) with licenses supplied.
• Maintain professionalism, responsiveness, and confidentiality.

Required profile

• Proven experience in medical and pharmaceutical translation, preferably for Quebec or Canadian life‑science clients.
• Specific expertise translating Product Monographs and Medical Information Letters.
• Bachelor’s degree in translation or a science discipline combined with a translation qualification from a Quebec/Canadian university.
• Membership in a professional order (e.g., OTTIAQ) is highly preferred.
• Fluency in English (source) and native‑level French (Canada) (target).
• Availability during US business‑hour time zones.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under time‑sensitive conditions.
