Engineering Manager & Technical Program Manager

About the role

PwC’s Scaled Engineering Services practice is seeking an Engineering Manager who will also act as a Technical Program Manager. Based in Chicago, you will lead cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable technology solutions that support client digital transformation and business agility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end execution of technology initiatives, ensuring disciplined project planning, budgeting and timely delivery.
• Coordinate cross‑functional engineering teams, fostering collective ownership of quality, timelines and deliverables.
• Mentor and develop team members, leveraging individual strengths and conducting performance reviews.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders, communicate progress proactively and resolve conflicts or issues.
• Uphold PwC professional standards, code of conduct and independence requirements throughout project delivery.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in software engineering or related technical domains.
• Strong ability to motivate, coach and inspire teams to achieve high‑quality outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with a focus on integrity and authenticity.
