Engineering Manager – Technical Product Owner

About the role

PWC is seeking an Engineering Manager who will also act as a Technical Product Owner within its Scaled Engineering Services practice. The role combines leadership of software engineering teams with ownership of product delivery, ensuring technology solutions are reliable, scalable, and aligned with client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Own end‑to‑end product delivery, from planning and budgeting through execution and release.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, prioritize features, and communicate progress.
• Ensure adherence to PwC’s professional, technical, and independence standards.
• Address conflicts, conduct difficult conversations, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Drive disciplined project planning and proactive stakeholder communication across cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams and delivering complex technology initiatives.
• Strong ability to analyze system components and understand their interactions.
• Excellent coaching, mentoring, and performance‑management skills.
• Demonstrated integrity, authenticity, and alignment with organisational values.
• Capability to navigate difficult conversations with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
