Engineering Manager

About the role

Lead a team of full‑stack engineers at Range, building AI‑powered wealth management platform. You’ll stay hands‑on in the code while coaching engineers and shaping delivery cadence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 4–8 full‑stack engineers, running effective 1:1s and career development.
• Write production code, conduct code reviews, and make architectural decisions for systems handling real money and sensitive data.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery: scope projects, set milestones, remove blockers, and ensure high‑quality releases.
• Partner with product managers and designers to translate member needs into engineering roadmaps.
• Drive engineering excellence: improve CI/CD pipelines, observability, testing, and deployment processes.
• Recruit and retain top engineering talent, promoting the mission and culture.
• Champion AI‑first tooling to boost velocity and output quality.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑stack software engineering experience, with 1–2 years leading a team.
• Strong product instincts and ability to think about user needs first.
• Proven track record building, shipping, and operating reliable, secure production systems at scale.
• Passion for mentoring and growing engineers.
• Comfort thriving in a fast‑paced startup environment and solving ambiguous problems.
