Endoscopy Sales Representative - Downtown Los Angeles

About the role

Stryker is hiring a field-based Sales Representative for its Endoscopy business in downtown Los Angeles. The role involves promoting and selling Stryker Endoscopy products within approved indications for use, educating medical professionals and solving product problems for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell Stryker Endoscopy products within approved indications for use.
• Educate doctors, nurses and other staff on the proper use and maintenance of Stryker products.
• Direct product evaluations in operating rooms and offices while following OSHA, hospital and other guidelines.
• Help prepare and run trade shows, conventions and clinical meetings.
• Keep the regional manager informed of territory progress and solve product problems quickly.
• Maintain and complete product inventory reports.
• May help train and develop sales personnel.

Required profile

• 2-5 years in an outside sales position (medical-related experience preferred).
• B.A. or B.S. degree required.
• Able to communicate with large groups, by telephone and electronically, and to drive an automobile.
• Up to 20% overnight travel annually; travel percentage listed as 10%.
• Must be able to negotiate price and terms with customers and handle complaints.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and Oracle Sales Information System.
• Ability to analyze and prioritize call patterns based on market potential.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.
