About the role

This position supports endoscopic and surgical procedures by assisting physicians, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a sterile environment. The role works a regular 7:30 am‑5:30 pm schedule, Monday‑Friday, with additional on‑call responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during endoscopic and surgical procedures, including scrubbing and instrument handling.
  • Maintain, clean, and disinfect endoscopes and related equipment, adhering to quality‑control standards.
  • Ensure availability and proper handling of supplies and equipment for each procedure.
  • Support day‑to‑day department operations and follow directions from the registered nurse.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an approved surgical technology program.
  • Certification in Surgical Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate good judgment, and manage time effectively.
