Employee Health & Benefits Advisor

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency is hiring an Employee Health & Benefits Advisor in Scottsdale. Advisors negotiate, sell and manage relationships with new and existing clients, and are fiscally responsible for each of their insurance accounts. The role is sales focused rather than day-to-day service focused.

Key responsibilities

• Connect with prospective clients through community and business involvement and help them identify how the agency can partner on their insurance needs
• Work with internal Client Executives and support teams to identify and market new accounts
• Retain existing accounts while meeting annual new account production standards
• Manage account receivables and obtain or assign the information needed to start the renewal marketing process
• Stay current on existing account coverages to maintain credibility and offer technical support
• Schedule regular client visits to review coverages, contracts and claims, and attend client meetings on site and off site
• Follow established policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school diploma
• 3+ years of insurance experience, or the ability to learn and validate a salary within 3 years
• Licensed in Arizona in Life, Health and Disability
• Preferred: dual license in Arizona Property/Casualty and a bachelor's degree in a related discipline
