Business Insurance Advisor

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency is hiring a Business Insurance Advisor in Scottsdale. Advisors negotiate, sell and manage relationships with new and existing clients, and are fiscally responsible for each of their insurance accounts. The role is sales focused rather than day-to-day service focused.

Key responsibilities

• Connect with prospective clients through community and business involvement and work with them to identify how the agency can help with their insurance needs.
• Partner with internal Account Executives and support teams to identify and market new accounts.
• Retain existing accounts while meeting annual new account production standards.
• Manage account receivables and obtain or assign the information needed to start the renewal marketing process.
• Stay current on the coverages of existing accounts to maintain credibility and offer technical support.
• Schedule regular client visits to review coverages, contracts and claims, and attend client meetings on site and off site.
• Conduct all business in line with established policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Active Property & Casualty or Life & Health license, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong financial aptitude.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
