Client Manager - Commercial Lines

About the role

The Client Manager manages the overall workflow for the books of business assigned to them, handling all lines of commercial insurance and serving as the main contact for the clients. The position is based in Scottsdale.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for clients: answer general questions, guide coverage changes and contractual requirements, explain exclusions and exposures, prepare binders before expiration dates and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain contact and collaborate with internal colleagues (Sales Executives, Department Heads, Marketing, Claims, Accounting, Loss Control) and external parties (clients and insurance companies).
• Plan, prioritize and complete daily workload covering new business, renewals and day-to-day service, meeting internal and external deadlines.
• Determine and coordinate new and renewal marketing strategies for assigned clients where applicable.
• Review and update applications and general information in the agency management system.
• Process, delegate and/or oversee audits, cancellation notices, endorsements, certificates and policy checks.
• Work in line with established policies and procedures, and attend client meetings on or off site when needed.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in commercial lines insurance.
• Licensed in Arizona Property/Casualty, or able to transfer an existing license.
• Strong written and verbal communication, time management, organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to build relationships with clients, carriers and peers, and to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: some college or technical training, CIC/CPCU/CRM/CISR designations, and previous Sagitta and ImageRight experience.
