Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-time Day Shift

About the role

Join UT Health Tyler as a full‑time, day‑shift Emergency Room Registered Nurse. You will provide acute care to patients of all ages in a Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke center.

Key responsibilities

• Administer nursing care to a diverse patient population, from newborns to geriatrics.
• Prioritize patient needs based on assessments and implement individualized care plans.
• Deliver care in accordance with physician orders, treatment protocols, and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 14 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) before end of orientation.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) before end of orientation.
• NIHSS certification before end of orientation.
• Preferred: 1 year emergency nursing experience, 2 years acute care experience, CEN Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification.
