Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Night Shift

About the role

Join the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Emergency Department, a high‑volume unit treating over 61,000 patients annually. This night‑shift RN position provides direct patient care, supports life‑saving treatments, and contributes to a world‑class healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions, updating plans of care as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing protocols.
• Educate patients and families, addressing cultural considerations and special concerns.
• Assess discharge needs and coordinate patient transitions.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• At least one year of acute care or military RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 24 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within one year of hire.
