ELSP Production Operator - 2nd Shift

About the role

ABB is hiring a Production Operator for the 2nd shift at its Mebane, North Carolina facility, which belongs to the Smart Power division. The role reports to the Senior Production Supervisor and supports the unit in reaching its production targets by following the established systems and processes. It is an onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Use machinery and equipment on the shop floor each day.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and instructions for assembling products, systems and panels.
• Carry out all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products, systems and panels, including packing where it is integrated with the production lines.
• Perform work manually or with light hand tools.
• Carry out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operate within standard operating procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating in English, written and verbal.

Required skills

• Practical experience with applicable software.
