Elementary Teacher (K‑3)

About the role

BASIS Ed is hiring an Elementary Teacher for the 2026/27 school year at its Baton Rouge Materra Campus. The position focuses on individualized instruction within a collaborative co‑teaching model, partnering with Subject Expert Teachers to support each student’s learning journey.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a cohort of K‑3 students through daily classroom transitions.
• Collaborate with the Subject Expert Teacher for each class period.
• Provide individualized or small‑group instruction to meet differentiated student needs.
• Establish and maintain behavior standards to create a functional learning atmosphere.
• Cultivate a joyful learning culture where hard work and intellectual curiosity are celebrated.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Valid fingerprint clearance and/or satisfactory state background check.
• Demonstrated passion for student achievement and raising individual outcomes.
• Open to new ideas in teaching methods.
• Preferred: experience as an elementary educator and strong communication skills.
