Student Records & System Data Specialist

About the role

The Student Records & System Data Specialist supports Charter Schools USA by ensuring accurate entry, maintenance, and reporting of student and school data across district, parish, and CSUSA information systems. This role works closely with school leaders and various support departments to keep data aligned with state and district requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, verify, correct, and audit student data in the Student Information System (SIS) and related enrollment platforms.
• Maintain up‑to‑date attendance, grade reporting, and student records, ensuring consistency across SIS, district, and state systems.
• Monitor error reports, resolve data discrepancies, and support year‑end and start‑of‑year SIS processes.
• Coordinate with CSUSA departments (e.g., food services, academics) to ensure seamless PowerSchool integration.
• Process Free and Reduced Lunch (FRL) applications and ensure accurate reporting to state and district systems.
• Assist with student scheduling and attendance procedures, entering daily attendance and generating reports.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with strong data‑entry accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate with school leaders, marketing, enrollment, curriculum, operations, and student‑support teams.
• Familiarity with education‑sector data requirements and compliance standards.
