Elementary School Based Therapist – 20 hrs/week

About the role

The Center for Human Development, Inc. seeks a part‑time School Based Mental Health Therapist to provide therapeutic support and care coordination for students and families at Island City Elementary School.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group therapy within the school environment.
• Coordinate care and communicate with families, teachers, and community resources.
• Provide crisis coverage and emergency mental‑health support as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a social‑science field (or be enrolled with required credits).
• Minimum two years of relevant mental‑health experience.
• State licensure or willingness to obtain licensure and credentialing as a QMHP.

Required skills

• Motivational interviewing.
• Assessment, treatment planning, diagnosis, and crisis counseling.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screens.
