Youth & Young Adult Intensive Care Therapist

About the role

The Center for Human Development seeks a full‑time Youth & Young Adult Intensive Care Therapist to provide mobile crisis response and intensive in‑home behavioral health treatment for children and young adults up to age 20 in Union County.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to dispatched crisis calls as part of a two‑person MRSS team, delivering in‑person stabilization and support.
• Provide individual counseling, psychotherapy, and family therapy within the In‑Home Behavioral Health Treatment (IIBHT) program.
• Conduct psychological assessments, prepare clinical evaluations, and share results with families and partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate case records, progress notes, and required reports.
• Collaborate with schools, hospitals, law enforcement, courts, and other community partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a behavioral sciences field.
• Two years of mental‑health experience with youth populations (preferred).
• CADC certification or ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Valid Oregon driver’s license and eligibility for client‑service insurance.
• Pass criminal background and drug screening as required by state regulations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of behavioral health assessments, treatment terminology, and psychosocial interventions.
• Understanding of state and local youth intensive treatment methods.
• Ability to conduct psychological testing and interpret results.
