Electronic Technician II

About the role

Lewis Energy Group is hiring an Electronic Technician II in Encinal, Texas. The technician diagnoses problems and carries out complex and major mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs on company assets such as fracturing units, coil tubing units, pumping units and other oil field equipment, working in both the shop and the field.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose all equipment problems.
• Identify and order the parts needed to complete repairs and routine maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to established guidelines and schedules.
• Carry out complex repairs, replacing parts and equipment as necessary.
• Assist lower-level mechanics with work assignments when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of related experience.
• Coil tubing experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Technical certification in automotive, lift truck, heavy equipment and/or diesel engine repair.

Required skills

• Familiarity with portable diagnostic tools.
• Basic computer navigation and use skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is preferred.

The work involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather, extreme heat, noise and occasionally wet, humid or cold conditions, fumes, vibration and electrical shock risk. Physical demands include lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, and standing, walking, climbing and reaching.
