Electromechanical Engineer

About the role

Applied Physics is looking for an Electromechanical Engineer to join its team. You will work on a variety of projects across fields ranging from energy storage to space exploration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electromechanical systems from concept to production
• Conduct feasibility studies, simulations and prototyping
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electromechanical systems into larger products
• Develop and run tests and analyse data to ensure product reliability and performance
• Identify and troubleshoot problems during product development
• Maintain and improve existing electromechanical systems

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in electromechanical design and development
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical components such as motors, sensors, controllers and actuators
• Plus: PCB design and assembly, mechatronics or robotics, international standards and regulations, and startup experience
