Electrical Engineering Intern

About the role

TTI is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern who will work under the direction and guidance of a Senior Engineer. The main purpose is to use entry-level engineering skills to help design and develop new products and support existing ones within the department. Candidates must be local and able to intern during the Fall 2026 semester.

Key responsibilities

• Work as a key member of a team on large-scale projects.
• Perform design analysis, calculations and software-aided analysis, including design review, dimensional cross-checking of components, design modifications and conceptual designs for rapid prototyping.
• Create CAD models and detail drawings in Unigraphics or SolidWorks.
• Write test requests to the test laboratory based on standard test procedures.
• Under the supervision of senior engineers, design, review and test prototypes, troubleshoot embedded electronics (hardware and firmware) and design new experiments and test systems.
• Analyse experimental data and draw clear, logical conclusions.

Required profile

• Working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Good technical discipline and ability to research new information quickly for specific projects.
• Able to communicate technical status to the Engineering Supervisor and project team.
• Familiarity with embedded systems, PCBA manufacturing and power electronics.
• Familiarity with schematic capture, PCBA layout software and circuit simulation tools.
