Electrical Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, analyze, and support electrical and electronic circuits, assemblies, and systems for both new and existing products within its Military Aircraft Group. The role is based onsite in Mineral Wells, Texas, and focuses on delivering reliable, cost‑effective solutions that meet customer specifications and industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer requirements and create electrical design concepts that balance performance, cost, schedule, and reliability.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and design engineers to define system‑level hardware requirements.
• Support PCB design activities, including component selection, layout reviews, and design validation.
• Develop and execute test plans, troubleshooting procedures, and verification activities for electrical and electronic systems.
• Investigate and resolve production and manufacturing issues, applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Three or more years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or KiCad.
• Knowledge of analog, digital, and power electronics design principles.
• Familiarity with DSP development on embedded processors, FPGAs, SoCs, or specialized DSP hardware.
