About the role
Moog is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Military Aircraft Group in Mineral Wells, Texas. The role focuses on designing, developing, analyzing, and supporting electrical and electronic circuits, assemblies, and systems for both new and existing products. You will create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and engineering documentation while ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Review customer requirements and develop electrical design concepts that meet performance, cost, schedule, and reliability targets.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and design teams to define system‑level hardware requirements.
- Support PCB design activities, including component selection, layout reviews, and design validation.
- Develop and execute test plans, troubleshooting procedures, and verification activities for electrical and electronic systems.
- Investigate and resolve production and manufacturing issues throughout the product lifecycle.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Three or more years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles.
- Ability to work onsite in Mineral Wells and report to the Engineering Manager.
Required skills
- Schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or KiCad.
- Analog, digital, and power electronics design principles.
- DSP development on embedded processors, FPGAs, SoCs, or specialized DSP hardware.
- RF engineering fundamentals and Software Defined Radio (SDR) concepts.
- Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, GNU Radio, and LabVIEW.
- Electronic component selection, circuit analysis, and signal‑integrity considerations.
