Electrical Engineer – Avionics PCB & Power Design

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong avionics design experience to lead full‑cycle PCB development, power‑system integration, and microcontroller bring‑up for mission‑critical hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver multi‑layer PCBs from requirements gathering through schematic capture, component selection, layout, and verification.
• Perform hardware bring‑up, testing, debugging, and system integration using oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers and software tools.
• Develop power management solutions, including analysis, simulation, and integration of power electronics and battery systems.
• Create system interconnect diagrams, define wire harnesses, and select appropriate connectors.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware and test engineers to conduct cross‑discipline design reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Eligibility for an active U.S. security clearance.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot issues across electrical and software domains.

Required skills

• Full‑cycle PCB design (schematic, layout, impedance matching, grounding, filtering).
• Microcontroller bring‑up and low‑level firmware debugging.
• Power system analysis, design, and testing (including thermal and EMI considerations).
• Familiarity with bus interfaces: CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, RS‑232/422/485, USB.
• Use of lab equipment: oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic/spectrum analyzers, benchtop power supplies.
