Electrical Engineer 2 - Power Electronics

About the role

TTI is hiring an Electrical Engineer 2 for its Greenville, SC office, working on power electronics devices and systems. The role covers design, testing, qualification and manufacturing of power electronics products.

Key responsibilities

• Design electronic circuits, schematics and bills of materials, and simulate and analyze power electronics circuits to meet product requirements.
• Run electrical tests, characterization and validation of power electronics designs.
• Define technical methods and criteria for power electronics qualification procedures.
• Create requirements, specifications and process control metrics for circuit board layout and PCB assembly manufacturing.
• Develop optimized electrical, mechanical and thermal solutions within schedule, technical and cost constraints.
• Collaborate with other engineers, suppliers and partners to ensure proper development, execution and verification of products.

Required profile

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree.
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Able to read schematics and solve basic EE design circuits (Circuits 1&2, Electronics 1&2).
• Comfortable explaining technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences in email and meetings.

Required skills

• Basic power electronics knowledge in motor controls, power systems and their regulations.
• SPICE modeling tools such as LTSpice or Multisim.
• Familiarity with common test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
• Basic programming and interest in developing firmware.
