ELDS Production Operator Epoxy - 1st Shift

About the role

ABB's ELDS (Electrical Distribution Solutions) division is hiring a Production Operator for its epoxy line in Mebane, NC, working the first shift. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and is onsite at the Mebane site.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products, systems and panels, including packing where it is integrated with the production lines.
• Work manually or with light hand tools.
• Carry out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Follow standard operating procedures and keep the work area clean.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to safely use a ladder and to lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to handle materials that may produce dust, fumes or vapors and to wear and maintain assigned PPE, including respirators and masks, and to take part in fit testing and medical evaluations.
• Must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Required skills

• Knowledge of and ability to use tools such as tape measures, calipers, grinders and other hand tools as needed.
