EH&S Specialist

About the role

Excelitas Technologies is seeking an EH&S Specialist to support environmental, health and safety compliance at its Boulder, CO facility. The role involves maintaining existing EHS programs, driving continuous improvement, and providing support across all shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and improve EHS policies to meet federal, state and local regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, risk assessments and track corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA records, SDS program, and manage the Management of Change process.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports (Tier II, hazardous waste, air, wastewater).
• Investigate incidents, near‑misses and property damage, performing root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate contractors, support regulatory inspections and ensure compliance.
• Deliver facility‑specific EHS training and manage the compliance calendar.
• Support radiation and laser safety programs, emergency preparedness and PPE inventory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, industrial or laboratory environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and Colorado CDPHE regulations.
• Proven ability to conduct investigations, audits and manage corrective actions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to influence all levels.
