Early Education Regional Director

About the role

The YMCA of Greater Boston seeks a dynamic Regional Director of Early Education to lead high‑quality programs across multiple sites. Reporting to the Senior Association Director of Child Development and Early Education, you will shape curriculum, ensure compliance, and foster a nurturing environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee licensing, quality rating, and NAEYC compliance for all early education sites.
• Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate, multicultural curriculum aligned with state standards.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, including staffing, safety protocols, family engagement, and budget administration.
• Lead staff performance evaluations, professional development, and supervision.
• Collaborate with branch executives, regional program administrators, and external partners to advance YMCA initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience supervising staff and developing curriculum.
• Qualified EEC Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher, Lead Preschool Teacher, and Director II.
• Strong public‑relations, conflict‑resolution, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of state early‑education standards and NAEYC accreditation.
• Experience with budget management and fiscal oversight.
• Ability to drive compliance with licensing and quality rating systems.
