Driver Manager

About the role

Schneider is looking for a Driver Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead the execution of customer freight deliveries through effective driver oversight. This full‑time, first‑shift position serves as the bridge between the business, drivers, and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Make safety‑focused decisions ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Balance the needs of customers, drivers, and the business.
• Provide continuous, structured performance management and coaching to drivers.
• Manage driver payroll and home‑time scheduling.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop creative solutions that improve driver retention and drive business results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or at least 2 years of equivalent work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Advanced problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
