Dog Bather / Grooming Assistant

About the role

Molly’s Dog Care is seeking a part‑time Dog Bather / Grooming Assistant to support its growing grooming team. You will work hands‑on with experienced groomers, providing bathing, drying, and basic grooming prep while ensuring a safe, comfortable experience for every dog.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality bathing, blow‑drying, and brush‑outs for dogs of all sizes and breeds.
• Assist with nail trims, ear cleaning, and gland expressions.
• Maintain clean, sanitized, and organized grooming and bathing areas.
• Support groomers and front‑desk staff to keep appointments on schedule.
• Deliver excellent customer service to both dogs and their owners.

Required profile

• Previous professional dog‑bathing experience (minimum 1 year) in a salon, clinic, kennel, or shelter.
• Weekend availability and ability to lift at least 50 lb., stand for long periods, and handle dogs of all temperaments.
• Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn with a team‑first attitude.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine love for dogs.

• Basic grooming techniques such as nail trimming and ear cleaning.
