Case Management Specialist

About the role

The International Rescue Committee seeks a solutions‑driven Case Management Specialist to provide community‑based, culturally responsive services that help refugees thrive in Washington State. The role involves direct support to vulnerable populations, administrative duties, and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized service plans, and monitor participant progress.
• Coordinate referrals, maintain monthly contact with participants, and track outcomes per program requirements.
• Assist participants with applications for cash assistance, food benefits, medical coverage, and other resources.
• Support workshop planning, create outreach materials, and facilitate sessions as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the data management system and stay current on policies and training.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Social Work or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in social services, humanitarian relief, or nonprofit settings.
• Highly organized self‑starter with strong communication skills in a multicultural environment.
• Fluent English; additional language ability preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel within the service area.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
