Senior Case Management Specialist

About the role

The International Rescue Committee seeks a Senior Case Management Specialist to provide advanced case management services to refugees and other eligible populations facing significant barriers to self‑sufficiency and integration in Washington State.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a complex caseload, including survivors of domestic violence, older refugees, and individuals with serious medical or mental health concerns.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop service strategies, and coordinate multidisciplinary interventions with internal teams and external providers.
• Provide direct assistance with benefit applications, referrals, and teach participants how to use online systems independently.
• Lead workshops on approved PRIME topics, develop materials, and represent the program at community meetings.
• Support subcontractors, act as point of contact for referrals, and assist with onboarding and training of new staff.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Social Work or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2‑3 years of relevant experience in social services, humanitarian relief, or nonprofit environments.
• Highly organized self‑starter with proven ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional language preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel throughout the service area.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
