Doctor of Nursing Practice Faculty

About the role

Walden University seeks part‑time adjunct faculty to teach in its Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. Faculty will mentor doctoral students, serve on project committees, and deliver coursework through the online Canvas platform.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as committee chair, faculty advisor, or second member of doctoral project study committees.
• Educate students using online technology, respond to discussion board posts within 48 hours, and maintain a presence in the virtual classroom at least four days per week.
• Deliver course content, facilitate discussions, and assess student work using tools such as Turnitin.

Required profile

• Earned master’s degree in nursing (MSN) and a DNP from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state.
• Minimum of one year of practicum experience; ARNP certification or executive leadership experience preferred.
• Experience teaching graduate‑level courses online and a commitment to student development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Canvas learning management system.
• Experience using Turnitin for academic integrity checks.
• Ability to deliver instruction and feedback effectively in an online environment.

What we offer

• Graduate course compensation ranging from $1,560 to $4,080 per quarter/semester, based on course type and length.
• Undergraduate course compensation ranging from $700 to $2,200 per quarter.
