District Manager – Retail Operations (Virginia Beach/Chesapeake)

About the role

Starbucks is seeking a District Manager to lead a portfolio of stores in the Virginia Beach and Chesapeake area. You will develop Store Managers, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive growth across multiple locations while being an active member of the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute district‑level strategies to meet financial, operational, and customer‑service goals for each store.
• Coach, motivate, and mentor Store Managers, helping them become effective leaders and business owners.
• Provide expertise on customer issues, staffing, store operations, and company policies.
• Analyze performance data, P&L statements, and inventory reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all Starbucks standards and procedures.

Required profile

• 5+ years of retail experience managing two or more stores, departments, or units with full P&L responsibility.
• 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing a team of six or more, including training and coaching.
• 3+ years in a customer‑service‑focused role.
• Experience in a multi‑unit environment, preferably within the retail or restaurant industry.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High School diploma or GED; a college degree or 4+ years of US military service may substitute for part of the experience.
