Distribution Supervisor

About the role

HDSupply is hiring a Distribution Supervisor to lead its distribution personnel as a team. The supervisor ensures that safety, quality, packaging, receipt and shipment standards and operational goals are met.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety, productivity and quality in all distribution operations.
• Design, develop and manage the distribution department budget.
• Refurbish and enhance site infrastructure and equipment to support growth and objectives.
• Build maintenance performance metrics and train staff so they can optimize performance and return on investment.
• Make sure associates have the tools and training needed to do their jobs.
• Ensure work is done consistently with company policies and procedures, and lead a team of support, craft or lower-level professional associates.

Required profile

• Typically a BS/BA in a related discipline.
• Generally 5+ years of experience in a related field; an advanced degree may offset less experience.
• Certification may be required.
• Work involves moderate physical demands such as walking, standing, lifting and maneuvering heavy or awkward material, and occasional overnight travel under 10% of the time.
