Distribution Supervisor (2nd Shift)

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a Supervisor, Distribution (2nd Shift) who supervises several departments inside a distribution center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing and replenishment. The supervisor gives direction and motivation to warehouse associates while keeping safety, productivity and quality high.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the productivity of warehouse associates and balance their workload so production and delivery goals are met.
• Provide training, tools and equipment so tasks are done safely and efficiently.
• Keep all warehousing functions running smoothly and act as the point of contact for escalated issues.
• Identify process improvements and evaluate the center's alignment for efficiency and inventory management.
• Ensure associates keep work areas clean and follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Complete paperwork and productivity reports.
• Lead a group or team of support, craft or lower-level professional associates.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (BS/BA).
• 5+ years of experience in a distribution center; 2+ years in a lead or mentorship role.
• Ability to handle moderate physical demands, including lifting and maneuvering heavy or awkward material, and occasional overnight travel under 10% of the time.
