Distribution Supervisor – 2nd Shift

About the role

CooperVision is seeking a 2nd‑shift Distribution Supervisor to lead shift activities, ensure timely order shipments, and maintain compliance with Good Distribution Practices and ISO 9000 standards in its Henrietta, NY facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and monitor employee performance to maintain smooth workflow and high productivity in a highly automated warehouse.
• Ensure departmental adherence to SOPs, Good Distribution Practices, and ISO 9000 requirements, keeping documentation up‑to‑date.
• Manage staffing, production supplies, and inventory levels, ordering and maintaining necessary supplies.
• Oversee material handling systems, verify functionality, and train operators on proper use.
• Coordinate with customer service, training, and management to expedite critical orders and resolve distribution issues.
• Collect and analyze data to identify efficiency and cost‑effectiveness trends, driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in business management or related field (Bachelor’s preferred); 3+ years supervisory experience and 4‑6 years in distribution or warehouse environments.
• Experience working in FDA‑ and ISO‑regulated settings is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Hands‑on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); JDA and BAAN knowledge a plus.
• Solid understanding of transportation systems, labor management, and distribution workflows.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards and Good Distribution Practices.
