Distribution Controller – Manufacturing Finance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Distribution Controller to lead finance operations for a manufacturing and distribution company in the Benicia/Fairfield area. The role is full‑time, onsite, and focuses on maintaining financial integrity while supporting strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions and ensure smooth financial operations.
• Generate monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, forecasts, and strategic insights.
• Provide financial analysis and guidance to support executive decision‑making.
• Develop and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Contribute to long‑term financial planning and strategy.
• Present financial data and performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage cash flow activities, including receivables and payables.
• Administer payroll processing for salaried employees.
• Supervise and develop the finance team.

Required profile

• 10‑20 years of experience as a Controller in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proven leadership and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP platforms.
• Experience using Crystal Reports.
• Advanced financial reporting capabilities.
