Distribution Center Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Maintenance Manager for a distribution center in Lathrop. The role is responsible for the success of assigned functions in a complex distribution center environment, working with the General Manager or Assistant General Manager to set strategies that maximize productivity and leverage expenses. It covers the maintenance of equipment and the facility, and typically involves managing a team of direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure operational excellence across all warehouse areas, including warehouse management systems and equipment, efficient and safe receipt and processing of inventory, and proper layout and organization of the warehouse
• Manage facility repair, maintenance and installation of equipment, review contractor bids and select compliant contractors
• Review maintenance, production and quality control reports to plan and modify maintenance activities, recommending cost-effective, safety-compliant changes
• Enforce safety policies, monitor safety and physical security, and inspect equipment and facilities regularly
• Coach, train and evaluate associates, maintain technical certifications, and foster a union-free workplace

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business or Supply Chain, 5 years in a distribution environment, and experience managing conveyor systems, material handling equipment and electrical PLC controls
• Ability to work flexible hours, be on call, work weekends and holidays, and open to relocation

Required skills

• Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Preferred: change management experience

Pay range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nevada, New York City, Ithaca (NY), Westchester County (NY) and Washington residents: $70,000 - $150,000.
