Display/DOT Delivery Assistant

About the role

The Display/DOT Delivery Assistant supports Haverty Furniture showrooms by setting up merchandise and delivering furniture to customers' homes. This position blends showroom support with on‑site delivery, ensuring a seamless experience for shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain merchandise on the showroom floor, order parts, and perform minor repairs.
• Assist with moving and arranging items, including lighting and POP material placement.
• Support deliveries by loading, unloading, and placing furniture in customers' homes, or drive a delivery truck when needed.
• Help the Display Coordinator with floor moves, new accessories, and lighting adjustments.
• Provide light housekeeping, keep the stockroom organized, and maintain clear exits and grounds.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and team‑lift up to 150 lb repeatedly.
• Willingness to obtain DOT certification (company‑paid).
• Pass background check, motor‑vehicle record review, and drug screening (including THC).
• Retail, warehouse, or delivery experience preferred but not required.
