Dispatcher I

About the role

Lewis Energy Group is hiring a Dispatcher I in Encinal, Texas. Dispatching coordinates personnel and equipment so that communication, delivery and pickup of resources happen efficiently and safely. The dispatcher allocates resources effectively, arrives on time when scheduled and works without supervisory responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Create, submit and process work/job orders accurately in the dispatch software, sending complete job information to internal and external personnel
• Monitor battery tank water levels and use available resources to schedule, assign, monitor and dispatch resources
• Coordinate with internal and external personnel and LEG team members to deploy resources effectively
• Allocate resources according to location, urgency and availability
• Keep records of every dispatch (location, time, resources) and track progress to the destination
• Ensure personnel are professionally trained and follow safety protocols, and that only dispatched resources reach their assigned locations
• Report incidents and issues to higher-ups and give accurate reports when needed

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; no minimum experience required
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read simple two- and three-syllable words, speak and write simple sentences, and do basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with American money, weight, volume and distance
• Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions and handle standardized situations
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and ability to learn new software
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
• Strong interpersonal, time management, communication and attention-to-detail skills, teamwork and ability to work under pressure
