Dishwasher / Steward – Full‑time Hospitality Role

About the role

Groot Hospitality is seeking a motivated Steward Dishwasher to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and front‑of‑house areas in a fast‑paced, multicultural restaurant environment. This full‑time position involves working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses and kitchen utensils using industrial washing machines.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation throughout and after each shift.
• Assist with receiving, organizing and storing deliveries.
• Perform minor food preparation tasks and support back‑house upkeep.
• Clean floors, sanitize surfaces and ensure overall restaurant cleanliness.
• Carry up to 35 lb of product as needed.

Required profile

• Reliable, punctual and presentable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to thrive in a busy restaurant setting and work well within a team.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma is a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with industrial washing machines.
